Abstract

This article explores how task-based language teaching (TBLT) is used in large classrooms, challenges and some ease faced by language educators, and several effective classroom management techniques to apply for TBLT. While TBLT offers numerous ways to enhance communicative competence and learner engagement, its implementation in large classes raises important questions. Are they really helpful to engage all learners in classroom to reach the objectives of the lesson or general aim? Does it help language teachers to make learning process more meaningful and manageable for teachers? Do both learners and teachers feel satisfied with outcomes?  All those questions will be discussed in this article to make it clear for language educators how task-based language learning helps them conduct their classes and provide some practical insights to ensure successful learning experiences.
