Abstract
This article develops an optimal control strategy for pumping systems in technological processes aimed at minimizing energy consumption while maintaining required flow limits. The relationship between pump speed, water flow, and power consumption is modeled using a simplified mathematical framework, formulating a constrained optimization problem solvable via MATLAB algorithms. Results demonstrate that proper pump speed selection achieves significant energy savings while meeting flow demands, with further potential gains through variable speed drives and advanced optimization techniques.
