Abstract

The article examines communicative models as an effective method of teaching grammar in the system of Russian as a foreign language (RFL). The authors emphasize the shift from a formal-grammatical approach to a communicative one, in which grammar is acquired through the use of ready-made speech patterns in real communication situations. Special attention is given to the application of models in legal education: examples from court decisions, procedural texts, and conditional constructions illustrate how grammar can be integrated with professional speech practice. The article highlights the advantages of the method–development of speech memory, increased student motivation, and alignment of educational material with real discourse–as well as the risks associated with mechanical reproduction of models and insufficient focus on writing skills. The article concludes that a combined approach, including both the use of communicative models and traditional methods of teaching grammar, is advisable.
