Abstract
Audiovisual techniques have become increasingly important in translator training due to the growing demand for audiovisual translation and the widespread use of multimedia content. Traditional translation teaching methods, which often rely on written texts, may not fully prepare students for the complexities of real-life translation tasks involving spoken language, visual context, and multimodal meaning. This article examines the role of audiovisual techniques in teaching translation students and explores their pedagogical value. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes existing literature and teaching practices related to audiovisual materials in translation education. The findings indicate that audiovisual techniques enhance students’ linguistic competence, contextual awareness, and professional readiness.
