Abstract

This article analyzes the language of procedural documents as a significant object of linguistic and methodological research in legal education. It substantiates the relevance of a targeted study of the linguistic and structural features of procedural texts in the context of developing the professional written competence of future lawyers. Based on a linguistic analysis of pre-trial texts (minutes and rulings), typical compositional patterns and characteristic linguistic devices of legal style are identified, conditioned by the normative status of these documents. Particular attention is given to procedural protocols, which are predominantly narrative in nature and clearly structured, demonstrating their high didactic potential. The article proposes a system of learning exercises, structured according to the principle of progressive complexity – from analytical and reproductive to productive and reflective – aimed at developing skills in analyzing, editing, and independently drafting procedural documents. It concludes that the systematic use of procedural texts as teaching material is beneficial for enhancing the linguistic and professional development of law students.
