Abstract
This article analyzes the mechanisms for ensuring cybersecurity in state information systems, their effectiveness, and the current situation in Uzbekistan. The research is based on a comparative study of the legislative framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of cybersecurity, global cyber threat statistics, international experience, and the national cybersecurity strategy. The article examines key mechanisms such as the Security Operations Center (SOC) system, vulnerability monitoring, cryptographic protection, information security policy, and staff training, supported by practical examples. The results show that the number of cyberattacks in Uzbekistan increased by 148% in 2022–2023; therefore, strengthening the protection of state systems requires the simultaneous development of technical, legal, and human resource capacities.
