Abstract
This paper examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the resource base of commercial banks and its role in supporting investment activity and economic development. The study analyzes strategic approaches to resource management, including asset and liability management, bank capitalization, and the attraction of stable funding sources. Special attention is given to the influence of internal and external factors on the stability of banks’ resource base and the importance of domestic investments in ensuring sustainable economic growth. The paper also highlights the role of commercial banks in financing investment projects, stimulating entrepreneurial activity, and strengthening regional economic development in Uzbekistan. The findings indicate that effective management of banking resources and the expansion of domestic investment opportunities are essential for improving financial stability and increasing national competitiveness.
