Abstract

This study aimed to identify early morphological changes in the aorta of rats with metabolic syndrome (MS). The model for metabolic syndrome was established by feeding a high-fat and high-carbohydrate diet. After 12 weeks of the experiment, rats exhibited increased body weight, elevated arterial blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, and structural changes in the aorta. The aortic wall showed lipid accumulation, and disruptions in the collagen and elastin fibers were observed. This study provides insights into the negative impact of metabolic syndrome on the cardiovascular system and helps in the development of therapeutic strategies.
