Abstract
gender linguistics is a subfield of sociolinguistics that investigates the relationship between language and gender. It explores how gender influences language use and how language reflects and shapes societal gender norms and identities. This article examines the key concepts and findings in gender linguistics, particularly focusing on sociolinguistic approaches that analyze language variation and change in relation to gender. Through various studies, we will demonstrate how gender affects speech patterns, language choices, and social interactions, as well as the implications for understanding gender roles in contemporary society.
