Abstract
This article studies the issues of increasing the efficiency of the use of material and technical resources in the fruit and vegetable growing industry and improving the mechanisms for managing the inter-subject competitiveness of the industry through this process. The specific features of the fruit and vegetable growing industry, factors for optimizing resource consumption in the production and value chain and reducing costs are scientifically substantiated. Within the framework of the study, a system of resource efficiency indicators (land, water, material and technical, financial and human capital) that determine the competitiveness of the industry is systematized, and a multi-stage hierarchical model of resource management is proposed.
