Abstract
This article examines the economic essence of the bank deposit base, its role in ensuring the financial stability of commercial banks, and its strategic importance in the formation of banking resources. The deposit base, as one of the main financial sources of banking activity, serves to expand lending capacity, maintain liquidity, enhance investment activity, and develop long-term financial relationships with customers. The article also scientifically substantiates that the stability, maturity structure, and composition of deposits have a direct impact on the competitiveness of banks, the efficiency of liability operations, and the ability to finance the real sector of the economy. The study evaluates the strengthening of the deposit base as an important factor in ensuring the financial stability of commercial banks and the sustainable development of the national economy.
