Abstract

This research examines the prospects for the development of the service sector in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan. Using the PESTEL framework, the study explores the political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors influencing the sector’s growth. The analysis reveals that Samarkand has significant potential due to its historical and cultural heritage, strategic location, and government support. However, challenges such as infrastructure gaps, workforce shortages, and international market integration hinder growth. The study provides strategic recommendations for addressing these challenges and unlocking the full potential of the service sector in Samarkand.
